TORONTO, Ontario (July 9, 2020) – Penfund, an independent provider of junior capital to middle market companies in the United States and Canada, announced today that Tony Howard has joined the firm as its Chief Operating Officer.
Tony joins Penfund after seven years with DRI Capital Inc., most recently as Vice President Fund Operations with responsibilities related to accounting and tax, treasury management, compliance and operations. Prior to DRI, Tony worked for OMERS Private Equity for five years, most recently as Controller. Prior to these roles, Tony held progressively senior operational management roles in the venture capital, mutual fund, financial custody and retail banking sectors.
Tony is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) with an accounting diploma from Wilfred Laurier University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Financial and Economic Studies from the University of Western Ontario.
