Our Team

Richard has 26 years of experience as an investor, financial advisor and entrepreneur. Richard joined Penfund in 2003 and has completed Penfund investments in the food, pet, industrial distribution and automotive aftermarket sectors. During this period investments have been completed across eight distinct funds representing over $4 billion of invested capital. His current responsibilities include general management, strategic planning and the management of key institutional relationships.

Prior to joining Penfund in 2003, Mr. Bradlow worked in the investment banking group at Scotia Capital. His work focused on corporate clients across a variety of industries. Prior to joining Scotia Capital, Mr. Bradlow co-founded a successful retail and distribution business.

Richard has a BA (Philosophy) from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from Harvard University. He is a former Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors of The Bishop Strachan School where he also served as Chair of the Finance Committee and Co-Chair of the Development Committee. He is a former Director of The Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation and the Canadian Venture Capital Association. Richard is currently a Director of RFA Financial and Chair of its Investment Committee.

Adam has more than 25 years of diverse investment and business experience.  Prior to joining Penfund in 2004 he was an investment professional at a mid-market private equity fund.  Previously he served as CEO of Excentia, a venture-capital backed e-learning and corporate training company that he co-founded.  Earlier in his career he was an equity analyst Sanford C. Bernstein & Co and a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group, where he provided strategic and operational consulting to Fortune 1000 companies.

Adam has a BA from McGill University and an MBA from the Wharton School.  He is a Director of Hillel Ontario and serves on the Budget and Finance Committee of UJA Federation of Greater Toronto.

Jeremy has over 25 years of private equity investing experience. He began his career working in the leveraged finance department of Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York with a focus on senior and subordinated debt financing in a variety of industries. He later joined Oak Hill Capital Management, Inc. in New York, where he was responsible for private equity investments in the basic industry, consumer products, and retail and distribution sectors. Prior to joining Penfund, Jeremy spent more than 10 years with ONCAP Management Partners, the middle market private equity division of ONEX Corporation. While at ONCAP, Jeremy led transactions in the automotive aftermarket, renewable energy, education and business services sectors.

Jeremy has a BA (Honours) in Economics from Queens University.

Michael has over a decade of experience in private debt investing, investment banking, and leveraged finance. He joined Penfund in 2019 and serves as Head of Origination, with overall responsibility for sponsor coverage and deal sourcing. Prior to joining Penfund, Michael was a Vice President in Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Leveraged Finance Investment Banking group in London, where he executed large-cap sponsor buyouts, recapitalizations, and refinancings across Western Europe and North America. His professional experience includes roles with financial institutions in Toronto, London, Boston, and New York.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Matt has over 10 years of experience across private debt & equity investing and investment banking. Since joining Penfund in 2015, he has completed investments across a broad range of sectors including distribution, automotive aftermarket, healthcare and consumer. Prior to joining Penfund, Matt worked in the Investment Banking division of TD Securities where he was involved in financing and M&A transactions across a variety of industries.

Matt has a BBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and is a CFA charterholder.

Steve has over 10 years of experience as an investment and capital markets professional. He began his career in the Investment Banking division of TD Securities where he was involved in a variety of projects in the diversified industries space. Prior to joining Penfund, he worked as an analyst at a long/short equity hedge fund for two years where he was responsible for covering the industrial, healthcare and financial sectors as well as special situations. Since joining Penfund in 2016, he has completed investments in a wide range of sectors with a focus on financial and business services and multi-location businesses.

Steve is currently a Lecturer at the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management. He has a MSc. Finance and BComm. from Queen’s University and is a CFA charterholder.

Simon joined Penfund in 2018. Prior to joining Penfund, he worked in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group at BMO Capital Markets and in the Infrastructure Advisory Group at Deloitte LLP.

Simon has a BComm. and a BSc. in Math from Queen’s University and is a CFA charterholder.

Tim joined Penfund in 2021. Prior to joining Penfund, he worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Moelis & Company in New York. While at Moelis, Tim advised financial sponsors and corporate clients on M&A and restructuring projects across a variety of industries.

Tim has a BComm. from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University.

Emily joined Penfund in 2022. Most recently, she worked as an Analyst in the Private Capital division of Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. Prior to this, Emily worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at TD Securities.

Emily has an iBBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University.

Sean joined Penfund in 2026. Prior to joining Penfund, Sean worked in the Technology Finance group at Bank of Montreal, focused on the origination and execution of leveraged financings in the software sector. Earlier in his career, Sean worked in the Real Estate Investment Banking group at BMO Capital Markets.

Sean has a BComm. from the University of Guelph and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto.

Mike joined Penfund in 2022. Prior to joining Penfund, he worked in the Financial Sponsors Group at National Bank Financial.

Mike has a BComm. in Finance & Economics from the University of Toronto, Rotman Commerce.

Cooper joined Penfund in 2022. Prior to joining Penfund, he worked in the Corporate Development Group at CIBC. While at CIBC, Cooper was involved in a variety of strategic transactions with a focus on financial services businesses.

Cooper has a BBA from the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University.

Nick joined Penfund in 2025. Prior to joining Penfund, Nick worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Greenhill & Co.

Nick has a BBA from the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University.

Arian joined Penfund in 2026. Prior to joining Penfund, Arian worked as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Energy, Infrastructure and Transition group at CIBC Capital Markets.

Arian holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University.

Willa joined Penfund in 2025. Prior to joining Penfund, Willa worked in the Enterprise Strategy & Corporate Development Group at CIBC.

James joined Penfund in 2025. Prior to joining Penfund, James worked as an associate on the Value Creation Deals Advisory Team at PwC.
